Heritage for the Future

The “Heritage for the Future” filter was made for the Preserving the Past exhibition at the Mesher Museum. The four different figurines I created for the Instagram filter “Heritage for the Future” belong to different periods and civilizations, beginning from 5700 BC through 200 AD. It helps us become an observer of history with the transformation of the female figurine with broad hips from 5700 BC to a wide-shouldered and narrow-hipped form in the 3rd century BC and to the Aphrodite figurine, from the 1st century AD, resting one leg on the other in a pose which can be perceived as masculine even today.
